The photos below are from the main markets in Chengdu, called Tian Jun markets, and they are all from 1989, so I am sure the place has modernised a lot since I visited there. As said, we were there to hire local Sichuan chefs for the Great Wall Sheraton hotel, our top floor Sichuan Restaurant, so we needed the truly authentic cooks and flavours. Luckily I was with two F&B people from the hotel who were Chinese and knew what caliber of Chefs they were looking for!
